Language journey, will it last?
One might ask whether there are similarities and differences between the languages of people in this part of the world and other parts of the world? how language was created, Why so many languages with various types of characters, literature and dialects. It was told a story where there was a lost child who got lost on the train and couldn't go home for years. Where the problem is because no one understands the child's language.
Linguists say that there are 6,500 languages worldwide and about 2,600 remaining active from extinction. February 21 is UNESCO's International Mother Language Day.
An Englishman said Mother: Mommy, an Indian said: Man, an African Sesotho said: Mme, a Japanese said: haha, a Chinese said: Mama, a Russian said: Mama, a Thai said: mme, an Arab said: Ummi.
A Russian said Uncle: dyadya, the Portuguese said: Tio, the Thai said: lung, the English said: uncle, the Dutch said: Om, the Arabs said: am, the Indians said: Caca, the Japanese said: ojisan.
A Chinese say grandfather: chufu, English say: Grandpa, Japanese say: sofu, Koreans say: halaboji, Arabs say :jadda, Russians say: jedd, Indians say :dada, African swahili say: babu, Dutch people say: Oppa, Thai people say: puh, Portuguese say: avo.
The first language that existed and was recorded in history was Sumerian and the first written script was the ancient Mesopotamian Sumerian Pictograph in 4000 BC.
, Then after the Egyptian hieroglyphic script 3000 BC, then the Sanskrit Brahmy script 1500 BC, then Greek 1500 BC, then Chinese 1000 BC and Latin 710 BC which we use today.
In Morphology, it is known that many languages use articles for example de, le, de which have very identical morpheme arrangements.
The French say: “je suis alle dans le bus ce matin” which means I went on the bus this morning.
The Japanese said: “Kesa Basuni norimashita,
Americans said: “I went on the bus this morning”,
The Dutch said: "ik ging Van morgen met de bus",
Germans say Ich bin heute morgen in den bus gestingen'',
Arabs say "dzahabat fi alhafilat hadza ash shobah".
Before English, the international language was Latin, where in Europe people generally used Latin as their universal language, so that in the world we will be plural with Latin as in the language of Science, Biology, Science and others. After the Renaissance came the movement of exploring the other hemisphere from the west. Where previously the world only revolved around the Silk Road , then the journey of language continues to this day .
Its development in the modern world we know international languages. The United Nations has established 6 international languages, namely English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian, and Mandarin. Which of these languages are so popular and plural and we can easily find them in the virtual world of the internet today.
In English itself, where there are accents that vary from American accent, British accent, Aussie accent, Indian accent, Hong Kong accent and so on. In the British itself, there are also many accents, such as Cockney, Scottish, Welsh and others. In language development, language shift or Slank is a problem that is often encountered in the world, including in Indonesia in the 90s Indonesia was familiar with Slank or Prokem, which was slightly influenced by the massive flow of information with the emergence of television broadcasts.
Standardization of standard language maintenance is carried out in the world, such as in Germany by "GFDs" and "Spanish Institute Cervantes", then "Japanese Ninjal" and Indonesian Language Development and Development Agency. Indonesian consists of several languages, namely Sanskrit, Malay, Arabic, Portuguese, Dutch and English.
Indonesia set its national language at the Youth Pledge congress in 1928, then the Indonesian language congress continued in 1938, then in 1954 and EYD in 1972 and so on. We do not know the form of writing as it is now before 1947 (Spelling of the Republic of Kelvin). Where in the past the spelling of Van ophuysen was strongly influenced by the Dutch spelling which was very different from now.
It is inconceivable that if no one learns languages, so that we can get to know foreign books, foreign films. Which of these are translators, interpreters, diplomats or even polyglots who have a role in the intraglobal circle. when the internet becomes our daily routine, it will not be strange when we see the words, Bonjour, Good luck, Ganbatte, Voila, Bravo, Wish me luck, Danke, Alles klar, Kamsahamnida, Arigatou and Salut.
It turns out that the medicine is in Indonesia
Do you remember the last time you took medicine, how much did you take the medicine, and do you know what kind of medicine you took? It is said that zolgensma is the most expensive drug ever made for the rare disease of back muscle atrophy due to a defective gene disorder, which Novartis company issued for US $ 2.125 million more or Rp. 2.7 billion more (exchange rate of Rp. 13,000) which is far compared to a patent medicine for heart disease which costs Rp. 400,000 / pack.

The world has a very high pharmacy medical activity at this time, recorded at US $ 1.25 trillion or more than Rp. 16 thousand trillion per year. Pharmacy experts compete to produce their best medicines, where in Indonesia there are currently 206 pharmacy companies and 24,874 pharmacies.
In Germany, it is routine for every individual to contact or consult a doctor like someone who chats or calls his friend, it is even said that 1 in 2 doctor's consultations are unnecessary there. A mother in America will be so panicked when she sees bruising, feverish body, crooked teeth or holes in her child and will definitely call the doctor immediately, it's like a nightmare there.

In Japan, people visit the doctor up to 10 times a year, even if it's just to check for bruises, because the health system is very secure there.
This situation is in contrast to in America, the health care system there is commercial and very expensive with a privatized insurance system and only a few are covered by the state.
Until it was told in America where one of its citizens who withheld eating 1x a day at his office because he was afraid to go out when interacting and contracted the corona virus, where he also had liver disease, he was afraid if something happened and got infected and couldn't afford to pay for treatment, even his only leave 3 days a year he still works. America only provides good health care to those with high incomes who can afford insurance.
Fortunately, our country implements BPJS which is similar to Germany and Japan. America is one of the developed countries with the worst health system problems.
The number of doctor consultations in Indonesia is recorded at 31 million 500 thousand times a year from its 260 million population, compared to Japan which has 1.2 billion visits from its 126 million population. In Indonesia, there are 160 thousand doctors, whereas in Japan alone there are 100 thousand doctors.
When the corona pandemic hit the world so badly, Indonesia was not left behind, where it was said that Indonesia only had 2,889 hospitals with a capacity of 317,442 patients and 160 thousand doctors as well as 520 thousand nurses and midwives, which was very, very far from sufficient.
The development of the medical world has been going on for a long time. In ancient times, health problems were always associated with the supernatural and superstition. The first hospital built in Baghdad was the Al-Adudi Hospital in 981 near the time of Avicenna, the father of the world's doctors.
It is said that there was an uproar that shocked the world in the past in Europe, where at that time it happened in Paris. Don't imagine Paris at this time during the corona pandemic, which is still with its glittering city, the flickering lights, the corners of the city's streets are decorated with branded luxury goods outlets, no. At that time Paris was overshadowed by a very bad catastrophe, the epidemic was already at its limit, then the sight of corpses strewn on the streets, people groaning, the smell of rotting carcasses everywhere, rats milling about, Paris was like a zombie city at that time.
The development of the medical world continues, where the stethoscope was invented in 1816, X Ray laser was used on war victims in 1897, ECG (electro cardiography) monitor in the 70s, MRI machines in Europe in the 80s where the price per unit was 26 billion rupiah.
When in Indonesia, the world of medical treatment and health looks unique with its background, culture and social. Long ago, when the Europeans embarked on a traveling expedition until they found spices in Maluku, Indonesia and realized this, it seemed as if they did not want to let go, which was the beginning of the calamity of the story of colonialism in Indonesia. Until it was realized that there were herbs in Indonesia that were similar to traditional Chinese medicine.
Have you ever imagined enjoying herbal medicine like a king? Yes, herbal medicine is a special dish of ancient kings and this is recorded in the reliefs of Borobudur Temple. When the Dutch colonized Indonesia, they secretly admired this herbal medicine. Those who are frustrated with western medicine choose jamu as a medicine or supplement for their needs where this herbal medicine is a common tradition among the people of Indonesia. It is stated that Indonesia has the potential of 33,000 botanical species for natural medicines, only 800 species are used as herbal medicine, 30 species are standardized herbal medicines and 14 species are phytopharmaca. Then we get to know ginger, kencur, temulawak, Binahong, cat whiskers, crown of gods, soursop leaves, mangosteen peel, red Papuan fruit to kratom.
Then history repeats itself exactly in the Netherlands, this herbal medicine has been exported abroad and it is even said that Papuan red fruit can be used as a cure for HIV/AIDS. Not inferior to herbal medicine, Kratom has loyal fans abroad. Uncle Sam's country demand for this kratom is up to 1000 tons as well as Europe, where the price per kilo reaches up to IDR 300,000 in the international market. Kratom went back and forth with its polemics and controversies, where its prohibition with the psychotropic stamp was opposed by scientists. It looks like it's not just kratom, it's also herbal medicine. Once again, we are currently confronted with the world's pharmaceutical giant octopus business which is under threat, when humans manufacture things at a high cost and nature presents them cheaply.

" The old city in a sad new face ".
What a beautiful picture and view.
Yes, that was the first time I felt when we were there, and that's what I felt when I first saw this new kebayoran, who grew up in this area, fascinated me with this area with all its stories and problems. Almost 1/4 of my life is in this area, yes, school and work, I don't know why when I first saw this area, I was immediately attracted to this area, I like the concept of the building, the layout of the city, the naturalism of the combination of natural art and humanism, maybe because of the blood My architecture is from my grandfather, although I don't pass on my grandfather's talent at all, I actually carry on my grandfather's other talent, doing business.
Yes, my late grandfather was an architect, in the Dutch era he was trusted to build and design Dutch buildings, maybe more or less like Pak Soesilo, more or less like that. One thing I remember about him is his scale ruler which is quite large and heavy made of strong teak wood which he always carries with him everywhere. The relic now we don't know where it is, where because we don't know how to use it.
So when I saw this new kebayoran, I immediately remembered my grandfather, the memories flashed through my head from childhood, what I saw at my grandfather's house, unique buildings, pillars, smooth black cement floors, and so on with classic nuances. Actually, I don't really understand the literature of these classic buildings, there are jengki, art deco, Scandinavian, bauhauss, roman, jugendstill, indisch, but what definitely makes me like this is art, period. "Kebayoran baru" you could say used to be nothing, forest, sparsely populated, scary, where the term genie threw away children and so on.
Now this area, which has always been the trending topic of gossip for southern youngsters, was just like a Dutch colonial dream with plans to build a satellite city in the 1930s. It is 8 km from batavia with no road access and which is only known as "kebayoran lama" an ordinary village.
Until in 1947 after the Dutch reoccupied with the Nica aggression operation, the "Kebayoran baru" began to be built where "CSW" as the center, continued and continued with the concept of ecological residential park following the style in England with a residential plan with a capacity for 50,000 people. Until it was stopped in 1949 because of the "round table conference" aka "KMB", the Dutch got out of Indonesia.
Then it continued by Mr. Susilo, who is an Indonesian right-hand man of the Dutch architect, the mainstay of "CSW", built and built continuously until the 1962 "asian games". This area became the mainstay of supporters of "asian games" or "GANEFO", including its Blok-M bus terminal . Therefore, there are many kinds of designs in the buildings, the Dutch architectural style is thick to the point of fading.
After the Dutch were completely expelled by Bung Karno in 1957, including those who lived in Kebayoran Baru, as well as the architects, in his nationalization policy. Even so, what is certain is that it remains artistically high in aesthetics because of the shrewdness of Pak Soesilo's cold hands, who are indeed capable and cannot be doubted.
But unfortunately it's a shame that the condition of this area is now getting more chaotic, I also find it difficult to enjoy relaxing walks in the Blok-m, polim, or prapanca areas, plus new buildings that really don't respect the old historic buildings here which are the original identity of the area here, for some reason the government let these buildings, which should be guarded and cared for, very unfortunate indeed and this is not because in the name of the Netherlands, no. It's just an illustration that I have collected for days about this new kebayoran, from the comparison between then and now, even to the result that it becomes a classic ecological residential park concept, as it still exists today in Europe.
A little input from our intermezo so that we don't be too selfish, so, if we want to be "selfy" so that we step back a bit and be wider, what do we do? So that, many photos of objects are captured and also stories that we can share, not only our faces, for our future descendants, later they will look for data about their ancestors, especially about their history, especially photos, pictures, videos and others. so.
My experience yesterday where it was very difficult to find data about this new kebayoran.
It seems that the journalistic awareness of the previous people was still low and photographic documentation files were very limited and rare, even for the purpose of "establishing" a collection of historical archives from the official state documentation institution, even though Bung Karno once said #JasMerah, in fact I found it in the files abroad. It will be different if I "search" type: hongkong 1900s or sydney or hawaii or Singapore and so on, it will appear quickly and many, be it articles, pictures, even domestic and foreign, yes, it's really very unfortunate.
What can I say, this is Indonesia, maybe we should understand, where it is not easy for Bung Karno, Pak Harto, to manage this super big country. To pioneer, from underdeveloped countries, the colonized third world and developing countries to developed countries and is hailed by the world. You can imagine what kind of super heavy challenges were faced after the independence revolution at that time, the transfer of power from the western end of "Sabang" to the eastern end of "Merauke" with scientific knowledge, limited abilities that were urgent and emergency to manage this huge super-rich country with more than 10 cities. advance throughout the "archipelago" with 3-4 cities that are sophisticated and modern equivalent to big cities in Europe and the rest of the world. Where there are complete transportation facilities and even trams in the middle of the city, at the same time where 80% of the population is illiterate and only 3% have formal education, is a devastating effect of 350 years of colonialism.
You can imagine the challenges of developing this nation by the early founders of the nation, such as Bung Karno and others. So until now we still feel all the effects and it can't be denied. May our beloved Indonesia continue and move forward and soon catch up with its lags that are even compared to its small neighboring countries.
